Is the twenty minute swim necessary?

I already took aquatics fundamentals with Dr. Kovacs but I over heard somebody complaining about the 20 minute swim yesterday and I remembered how much I hated it. I personally feel that in aquatics class we do enough lap swimming that it shows students have good enough swimming endurance. The 20 minutes swim doesnt teach anyone anything and if anything it hurts their swimming strokes, I dont know a single person who was able to keep their strokes perfect throughout the whole 20 minutes. You just get to fatigued and do whatever you can just to stay afloat and keep moving forward. Even though I didnt enjoy it at all, it did feel so good to be done and know that I accomplished it. Good luck anyone in aquatics!

I remember that class with Dr. Kovacs. I think it was difficult but if you don't like the water it must have been terrible. I thought we learned some cool strokes and dives, even though some people belly flopped everytime. Dr. Kovacs loves the Hungarian Water Polo team so we watched their highlights, funny, but they were really good.
