No more Tech Projects.
I just finished my excel project and this is my last blog. It feels so good to be done this semester in Technology for PETE. At times I hated all the tedious work but now that it is over with I really didnt mind it that much at all. As a matter of fact I am glad I learned what I did, it will help me out a lot in my future not just at SRU but when I someday become a P.E. teacher too. My personal favorite project was probably the powerpoint, as long as it took me I was very pleased with how it turned out. It feels great to know that in two weeks I be at home hanging out by the pool. Hope everyone has a great summer!

Can Jam
Can Jam is one of my new favorite games. I first learned about it at Rugby Fest last year. It is so easy to play and so easy to set up. What you need is a frisbee and two equal size garbage cans, recycle bins etc. How you play is you set the garbage cans up about 20 feet apart. Then get two teams with two players on each team. One player should be at one can and the other at the other can (like setting up for horseshoes). Then players take turns throwing the frisbee. If the thrower hits the can it is worth three points. If the thrower comes close their parter can tap/hit the frisbee and if it hits the side of the can it is worth one point, if te partner can tip/slam it inside the can that is worth 2 points. If the thrower can make it directly in the can without their partner touching it then that team wins the game. You play to 21. It is a really fun game even if you cant throw a frisbee well.

Backpacking Trip
I think the backpacking trip in outdoor pursuits class is a lot of fun. I could see how the weather might not make it as fun, but if you have a good attitude you will love it. The trip was a great way for the class to bond and get to know each other a lot better. Even thought the backpacks got a little heavy at times the hike itself was easy and anyone could do it. You get to see some great views of nature and even some wildlife. For example on our class backpacking trip we saw a bald eagle, it was huge!

Frisbee Golf in the Quad
I had a lot of fun yesterday playing frisbee golf in and around campus. Along the way we even picked up more people who saw us playing and wanted to play too. All we did was take turns picking a tree, pole in the ground, garbage can or building and try to hit it in the least amount of throws. The person who threw it in the least amount of throws whatever that number was that is what the par was for that hole. My favorite hole was from outside Harner Hall to the rock structure in the quad in front of the library. It only took me two throws which I am pretty sure I could never to again.

Podcast Music
When doing the podacast I had more fun then I should have. Before even starting what I was supposed to do (talking about the effects of smolking cigaretts) I discovered how to make music with the program. All I did was make a sound with my hands or mouth and loop it together with other sounds. Before I knew it I had a awsome beat just from tapping on the table and saying "dode dode dode dode." It saounded great I could have done that all day. I felt like a music producer.

Electronic Portfolio
I finally finished my electronic portfolio and it feels great. At first I thought it was going to be the hardest school assignment I ever did. Not that its over wish I didnt think it was that bad. Dont get me wrong there were some parts that I hated and found to be very teadious but I am satisified with how it went. Also I though I would hate it and it would be something I would go through just to get done, but I am glad to say Im proud of how it turned out. Hope everyone did well on it.

Flying Cars
I was watching a TV program on the Discovery Channel the other day about flying cars. From what they were saying it is a very real possiblity to have a flying car in the next ten years. They showed so many different models that I almost believed them. On the other hand though there are so many other variables. Different liscences, mechanics for these new flying cars, signs and safety concerns, speed limits and so many other things need to be considered. Yes it would be awsome to have a flying car but there are so many car accident on the ground if all the sudden everyone had a flying car the accident rate would be ten times as much I feel, with ten times as many deaths.
